Swoopix

Privacy policy.

Effective date: 13 August 2026

Applies to the Swoopix app for iPhone.

← About Swoopix

Swoopix helps you review and clean up your photo library. It is a photo app, so the honest question is what happens to your photos: they stay on your iPhone. Analysis runs on the device, nothing about your library is uploaded, and nothing is deleted without your approval.

1. Photos

Swoopix requests access to your photo library so you can review photos and videos, mark items to keep or delete, organize albums, and create optimized video copies. Photo analysis runs on device. Swoopix does not upload your photos, videos, filenames, recognized screenshot text, or photo identifiers to any server.

Deletion takes two explicit approvals. Items you swipe away are staged inTrash Review inside the app for you to confirm, and the removal itself is then handled by Apple's own Photos system confirmation. Deleted items remain recoverable in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

2. Analytics

If analytics are enabled, Swoopix collects product interaction and diagnostic events — onboarding completion, feature usage, purchase events, and aggregate cleanup counts such as how many items were reviewed or how many bytes were freed.

Analytics events never include photo identifiers, filenames, user-entered text, recognized screenshot text, or any other personal photo content. Events are anonymous: Swoopix does not create a user profile, does not ask you to sign in, and never sends the install identifier as part of an event. Analytics are used to improve reliability, performance, and the product itself, and are not used for tracking across apps or websites. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is no tracking.

3. Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Swoopix receives entitlement status from StoreKit so it can unlock Pro features. Payment card details are never seen by Swoopix.

4. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Swoopix schedules localnotifications on your device to prompt you to review your library. These are generated on the device — there is no push server, and Swoopix does not register for remote notifications. You can change or disable reminders in the app or in iOS Settings.

5. What is stored, and where

DataWhereHow long
App preferences, cleanup progress, streaks, saved sessionsOn your deviceUntil you reset preferences or delete the app
Cached thumbnails, file-size index, local analysis resultsOn your deviceUntil you reset preferences or delete the app
Widget progress snapshotOn your device, in the app group containerUntil you delete the app
Anonymous product analytics eventsPostHog (analytics processor), if analytics are enabledPer the processor's retention policy

Resetting app preferences from Settings clears Swoopix's own stored data.It does not delete your photos.

6. What is never done

  • Your photos are never uploaded. There is no photo backend.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data, with anyone, for any purpose.
  • No advertising use of anything Swoopix collects.
  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • No silent deletion. Two explicit approvals, always.

7. Children

Swoopix is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date, and the App Store listing will link to it. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
